You can also pick this prequel up along with the 2003 original and 2006’s Underworld: Evolution as part of a "trilogy" box, but one has to think there’s another in the pipeline, even though Kate Beckinsale has finally handed her catsuit to Rhona Mitra. Nevertheless, Lycans is a worthy addition, an origin story about Lucian, "the first werewolf able to take human form," kidnapped by vampires who slaughtered his family.
